Pre-license courses are for people interested in preparing for WSDA pesticide license exams. These courses focus on ten of the 32 WSDA exams:
- Washington Laws and Safety Exam
- Dealer Manager
- Private Applicator
- Rancher Private Applicator
- Limited Private Applicator
- Ornamental & Turf Weed Control
- Right of Way Weed Control
- Agricultural Weed Control
- Ornamental & Turf Insect and Disease
- Agricultural Insect and Disease
The WSU Pesticide Resources and Education Program offers webinars and pre-license internet modules to help prepare for many of the WSDA pesticide licenses exams including Private Applicator, Weed Control, Insect & Disease Control, Aquatics, Pest Control Operator, and Structural Pest Inspector exams.

Study Material and License Information

- Study materials are a prerequisite for the course. Make sure you read them prior to the course. Order
study materials online or download a PDF order form (pricing subject to change) to submit by US Mail.

- WSDA will collect a $25.00 testing session fee in addition to the license application fee(s) at all testing sessions.
- WSDA’s website has information on preparing for exams, taking exams, and meeting recertification requirements.
