Salmon-Safe is a program developed by the Pacific Rivers Council and has successfully defined and promoted ecologically sustainable farming and urban lands management practices (including pesticide and pest management) that protect water quality and aquatic biodiversity throughout the Pacific Northwest.   Salmon-Safe certifies urban parks, corporate/university campuses and natural areas.  The tour includes site visits to three urban areas (one corporate campus, two parks) that have worked through the certification process and become certified as Salmon-Safe.
