Common Questions and Answers

Courses must be completed by December 31. All courses expire at midnight on December 31.

I am using Safari and am having issues with the course progressing and/or sound?

We recommend using Chrome or Firefox to complete your training. We have had issues reported from some Apple users not being able to watch the training using Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Apple computers.

You are still able to use your Apple products, but may need to download Google Chrome from the App Store. Visit this Apple Support article for help on changing your default browser in iOS.

Which browsers and devices can I use?

Internet courses work with the most recent versions of all browsers. Be sure to close all other programs when running an internet course to reduce buffering problems. Also, please make sure that “third-party” cookies are enabled on your browser.

Courses are compatible with mobile devices. However, we do not recommend taking a course from your mobile phone.

How do I find out about Internet Courses?

WSU offers Pre-License Internet Review Courses and Recertification Courses.

I purchased my courses but I can’t find them.

  • You will receive three e-mails from WSU explaining how to access your course. Sometimes this email can make its way to your spam or junk e-mail folder. The emails are from noreply@talentlms.com.
  • Payment may not have gone through for the course. Verify payment went through.
  • All of your purchased courses can be accessed at the Recertification TalentLMS Portal
  • Log in with your user name (your email address) and password.
  • Click on a course title and then click on the blue Start button.

I purchased courses for more than one applicator and used the same credit card and email for each purchase.  Not all the applicators can login and find their courses.  Only one applicator has access to their courses.

Each licensed applicator that wishes to receive credit for completed courses must use a unique email address. There cannot be more than one applicator using the same email address. The same credit card can be used to purchase courses for multiple applicators, but a new account with a unique email address must be created for each purchase.   If you have purchased courses for multiple applicators using the same email address please contact WSU Pesticide Education Program (509-335-2830 or wsu.entomology.internet.pesticide.course@wsu.edu) or Kristi Boone (509-335-2952 or kristi.boone@wsu.edu) and we can help the applicators gain access to the courses.

My course is running but I can’t hear it. There is no audio!

ere are some steps to try and make sure you can hear the audio:

  1. Restart the computer to ensure there are not pending updates or processes impacting normal functionality.
  2. Try a different web browser to see if the issue is isolated to a specific browser.
  3. Try muting and un-muting the module to see if the issue is with the module.
  4. Make sure the sound isn’t muted on the Mac or PC system.
  5. If applicable, verify external speakers or headphones are working properly.

If you are using an Apple product and Safari as your web browser, follow these steps to make sure the audio is working:

  1. Go to your Recertification TalentLMS Portal
  2. Double-click the address bar.
  3. Click Settings for This Website.
  4. In the popup, click Auto-Play.
  5. Select Allow All Auto-Play.

If this does not help solve your problem, please contact us so we can get you the necessary IT support.
