Pesticide Applicator Training in Spanish

en Español

WSU Urban IPM and Pesticide Safety Education produces Spanish language pre-licensing study materials to help prepare for WSDA pesticide applicator exams and Spanish language Internet Recertification Courses for licensed pesticide applicators. Development of other resources is under way. WSU Urban IPM no longer conducts Spanish pre-license or recertification training in Washington.

Study Materials

For public operators, commercial applicators, and commercial operators working in weed management. The manual includes Washington Laws and Safety and Turf and Ornamental Weed control. There are practice exams and pesticide labels to help prepare for the WSDA license exam.

For people working in agriculture including nurseries and greenhouses, who are seeking a private applicator pesticide license. The manual includes Washington laws, label information, pesticide hazards and health concerns, equipment calibration, and management of insects, weeds, plant diseases, and vertebrate pests.

Internet Recertification Courses
Narrated, fifty-minute long, one-credit Spanish-language courses are approved for recertification credit in several states. Each course includes quizzes. Access to purchase courses and instructions can be found at Internet Recertification Courses

Internet Pre-license Courses
WSU Urban IPM is developing pre-license pesticide applicator training courses. These courses will be designed to be used with the study manuals to help prepare for state pesticide applicator exams. Completion of these training courses does NOT give you a pesticide applicator license. Courses will be posted to the website when complete.

WSDA pesticide applicator exams and training (private applicator pre-license and farmworker only) in Spanish, visit WSDA Farmworker Education or call 1-877-301-4555. Note: WSDA does NOT conduct non-private applicator pre-license training in Spanish.
